About Us…

                My name is Monica Beckett. My husband Rob and I reside in Suffolk, VA where we have a small ranch with horses, cattle, sheep, rabbits, and poultry. We are both Navy veterans and have 2 grown boys. We fell in love with Prague Ratters 11years ago when we got our first little fawn girl from David Rufer. Her name is Willamena or ‘Mena’ for short. We absolutely adore her and she is very much a part of the family. Several of our friends have also fallen in love with her and wanted PR’s of their own. We decided to add a couple more to the family in hopes of having some litters of our own and were fortunate enough to bring a pair home from Carolyn Reynolds, a black and tan girl, Gita, and a chocolate boy, Pasha. We are happy to announce our first litter and are so impressed with how attentive Gita is to her puppies. We plan on keeping our breeding program very small scale so our puppies can be raised as part of the family and be well socialized when they go to their new homes. My husband and I enjoy camping, boating, kayaking, and traveling. Our pups always go with us and make the perfect travel companions. The breed is intelligent, high energy, and social but also content to cuddle. They do not have aggressive dispositions like many other small breeds and are not big yappers. I can’t say enough about the breed itself, such big personalities in such a small package. We also have a long haired cat and black lab and everyone gets along great.
